Spiritual Neanderthals

Our oh-so-modern western world is so far behind when it comes to spiritual development, the attainment of higher states of consciousness and the related stages and symptoms.

We are completely uninformed about this, which is basically tragic, especially in our medical and psychological educations.

It’s not that these attempts to inform don’t exist, it’s just that they hardly get any attention.

C. G. Jung conducted research in this area. In 1932 he gave a seminar in Zurich on the awakening of Kundalini, the psychological effects of this, the attainment of higher states of consciousness through it, etc.

The american psychiatrist Dr Lee Sanella did a great deal of work in his research and explanations. Books such as “Kundalini – Psychosis or Transcendence” with its case studies describe and explore the symptoms of spiritual awakening in detail:

How can it be that in all our psychological educations we hear nothing and absolutely nothing about this?

How many people are labelled as psychotic and put off with drugs who are basically only going through temporary awakening processes, energy enhancement and thus purification processes that serve the further natural development of their consciousness?

How many symptoms that cannot be explained by doctors today can be attributed to this?

And how many people are hopelessly confused because they cannot understand what is happening to them?

Why is this aspect of our natural development not mentioned in any medical or psychological educations, at least as far as I know in Germany?

Please convince me otherwise.

Why, for example, are schizophrenics revered in other cultures such as Asia or Africa, while here they are only classified as sick?

Due to their disposition, they are often also experiencing higher levels of consciousness. Among other things, they have insight into a layer of reality that is simply beautiful, sublime and divine. A reality that exists simultaneously alongside our generally recognised one and which could become the recognised reality for all of us and, in my view, will become so for many.

A new, higher vibrating, incredibly beautiful reality that is aspired to, entered and cultivated in many cultures through practices such as meditation, yoga, trance dance and many more.

But even the pain of releasing a deep-seated trauma, for example, has the potential to transport you to this level of reality.

Spiritual development, the development into higher levels of consciousness happens, it is a natural part of our human development and it brings with it its physical and psychological symptoms.

This has earned recognition and an appropriate place in our western world, especially in our medical systems.
